THE LAW OF THE TRACK
TrackDayZee operates under a strict ruleset enforced by Stewards Officers and the Shadow Team. Ignorance is not an excuse. Read, understand, and drive clean.
CORE STANDARDS
SAFETY FIRST
All drivers must prioritize the safety of others. Intentional crashing or ramming results in an immediate RP Wipe and potential permanent ban.
PREDICTABILITY
Do not make sudden direction changes on straights. Choose your line and commit to it. Unpredictable moves cause avoidable collisions.
RESPECT THE FLAGS
Follow all automated and Steward-issued signals immediately. Ignoring flags is treated as deliberate non-compliance.
HIGHWAY ETIQUETTE
THE LANE RULE
The Right Lane is for cruising, cooling down, or slower vehicles. The Left Lane is strictly for overtaking and fast laps.
OVERTAKING PROTOCOL
Overtaking must be done on the Left. The driver being overtaken should maintain their line on the right and not race the passing car.
PIT MERGING
When exiting the pits, stay within pit exit lines. Do not merge into the fast lane until you are up to racing speed.
NO STOPPING
Stopping on the track is strictly prohibited. Pull into designated Safe Zones or return to the pits.
BLUE FLAG RULE
If a faster driver approaches from behind on the left, the slower driver must remain in the right lane. Do not move left. Stay predictable.
COOL-DOWN LAP PROTOCOL
After completing a Hot Lap in a TrackDay, move to the right lane and reduce speed to 60%. Allow brakes and engine to cool. Do not block others on a flying lap.
RACE STANDARDS
THE ONE-MOVE RULE
When defending a position, you are allowed only one defensive move to change direction. Moving back across the track to block is Illegal Weaving.
VORTEX OF DANGER
If an overtaking car has their front wheels alongside the defender's cockpit before the turn-in point, the defender must leave at least one car width of racing room.
DIVE-BOMBING
Forcing a pass by lunging from too far back and using the other car as a brake is a major violation. Steward investigation guaranteed.
TRACK LIMITS
Always keep at least two wheels within the white lines or designated kerbs. Gaining an advantage by cutting corners results in lap invalidation or RP penalties.
REJOINING SAFELY
If you go off track, wait for a clear gap before rejoining. Rejoining dangerously into the path of another driver is a Class S Steward offense.
FORMATION LAP
Maintain grid position. No burnouts or weaving that endangers other cars during the formation lap.
RACING ROOM PROTOCOL
AVOIDABLE CONTACT RULE
If you bump a driver and they lose a position, you must Self-Redress (give the position back) within 3 corners. Do so voluntarily and the Steward waives further investigation.
THE GOLDEN RULE
If you cause a collision that ends another driver's race in a Cup event, you are immediately disqualified (DSQ) and your event RPs are forfeited. No appeal during live events.
RP DEDUCTIONS
STEWARD PROTOCOL (SO)
A Steward's decision is final during a live event. Post-race appeals go to the League Leader (LL) only.
SOs may spectate any driver at any time. Intentional pacing (holding up traffic) results in a Move Over command.
SOs operate on a three-strike system for live sessions. The RD handles the technical environment.
SHADOW TEAM (ST)
ST members do not reveal their status. They record footage of incidents and submit Incident Logs to the SO and RD.
ST is also responsible for reporting Track Gaps or Physics Exploits that allow for unfair lap times. The league improves through their vigilance.
TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE
VERIFICATION
Only Verified cars matching the event's Class (ST-C, ST-S, GT) are permitted. Non-verified cars are refused entry.
HEADLIGHTS
In Open-Track mode, keep headlights ON if you are on a fast lap to alert slower traffic in the right lane.
PIT SPEED
Observe pit lane speed limits at all times. Exceeding pit speed limits results in a time penalty.
LIVERY STANDARD
All Cup cars must display the Class Sticker (A-PRO, B-SNR etc.) clearly on the side or windshield.
RESET PROHIBITED
On Road Tracks (Ring/Layout), no Reset-to-Track is allowed. If you crash, you must tow to pits and lose RP for that lap.
REVERSE LAYOUT
When the RD announces a Reverse Layout, all cars return to pits immediately. Driving the wrong way is a Class D Demotion offense.
