TRACKDAYZEE
MODULE_05 // TEAM SYSTEM

BUILD YOUR OUTFIT

Teams in TrackDayZee are more than a tag on your nameplate. Field drivers across classes, develop a Junior Academy, accumulate Team RPs, and compete for the Constructors' Championship.

SECTION_01 // TEAM COMPOSITION

STRUCTURE & LIMITS

Every team must have a designated Team Principal (TP) as the sole point of contact for Cup Organizers regarding protests and registrations.

MAX MEMBERS12 total
DRIVERS PER CLASSUNLIMITED - no cap per class
OPEN TRACKUnlimited teammates on track simultaneously
TEAM PRINCIPAL1 required - sole liaison with Cup Organizer

CLASS DEPLOYMENT

Unlimited drivers per class can race. For team scoring, only the 2 best-finishing drivers per class count toward the team's points tally.

TEAM IDENTITY

All team cars must share a primary color or consistent livery verified by the Race Director.

CUSTOM SPONSORS

Teams can display custom sponsors provided they don't conflict with official TrackDayZee league sponsors.

TRANSFER WINDOWS

Teams are allowed 2 roster changes per League season. Emergency substitutions need CO clearance 24h before the event.

SECTION_02 // JUNIOR ACADEMY

THE ACADEMY SYSTEM

Teams can establish a Junior Team to scout and develop the next generation of drivers. The Academy system creates a direct pipeline from Rookie to Main Team.

01

ELIGIBILITY

Junior teams are restricted to Class D (Rookie) and Class C (Amateur) drivers only.

02

PROGRESSION

Once a Junior driver reaches Class B (Senior), they must be promoted to the Main Team or leave the Academy to join another outfit.

03

BRANDING

Junior teams must share the same prefix as the main team with a 'Jnr' or 'Academy' suffix - e.g. Apex Racing and Apex Academy.

04

SISTER TEAM RULE

A Main Team and its Junior Team cannot compete in the same Sprint Cup if their classes overlap. This prevents team orders and collusion.

COLLECTIVE RESPECT

Teams earn points as a standalone entity, completely independent from individual driver RP balances. The 2 best-finishing drivers per class in each event generate Team Points. Drivers pay their own RP entry fee - or the team can pay on their behalf from the Team Pool.

DRAFTING ALLOWED

Teammates are allowed to tow (slipstream) each other during Qualifying and Races, provided it is done safely.

NO MULTI-TEAMING

A driver cannot belong to two teams. If caught, the driver is stripped of their licence and both teams are fined RP.

SECTION_05 // Q&A

TEAM QUESTIONS

Can a driver belong to two teams?

No. Multi-teaming is strictly prohibited. If caught, the driver is stripped of their licence and both teams are fined RP.

Can we change our team roster mid-season?

Teams are allowed two Transfer Window changes per League season. Emergency substitutions must be cleared by the Cup Organizer (CO) at least 24 hours before an event.

Is there a Team Champion award?

Yes. At the end of each League cycle, the team with the highest accumulated Team Points across all classes is crowned the Constructors' Champion. Team Points are tracked separately from individual driver RPs.

Who pays the RP entry fee for a race?

The driver pays their own RP entry fee from their personal balance. Alternatively, the team can choose to cover the fee from the Team Pool on the driver's behalf.

Can the Main Team and Junior Team compete in the same Cup?

Only if their car classes don't overlap. A Main Team and its Junior Team cannot compete in the same Sprint Cup if their classes overlap, to prevent collusion.
